You have Nixon wrong. The country was far more liberal at the time. Nixon managed to balance it out, and ended Vietnam. His economic policies are a mixed bag and his impeachment showed just how power leftists interests were, and has demonized for this. In the 20th century, China was a weak child and cutting them off from the Soviets was a great move. China only became powerful when it became part of the World Trade Organization in the 21 century.
I remember in high school when our government teacher told us about Nixon’s crooked history. Our teacher was a Conservative and taught us from a Conservative viewpoint. Basically he described all the bad things Nixon did throughout his political career. Yes Nixon was a power hungry politician.
Nixon got us out of the terrible war in Vietnam which the democrats had started and made a mess of for almost a decade. He was railroaded by the democrats during the Watergate investigation which was probably a democratic strategy to get Nixon out. Watergate was a two bit robbery of the democrat HQ which at the time was running leftist McGovern who was never going to win anything but his own state and Nixon won the other 49 states. Why would Nixon have ordered it? It was illogical…we see how the democrats have tried to impeach every republican president since. It’s what they do…
